· Add, unused of course, baby diaper linings to your potted plants. These retain moisture. If no water retention additive is placed in your potted plants, you may need to water twice a day during the summer.
· Transplanting nursery plants. Soak the container in water before planting. This not only helps the plant to release from the container easier with less root damage, but ensures that the after plant watering will work better.
· Prune your spring flowering plants now.
· Plant nursery bought annuals and perennials now.
· Watch for emerging perennials and transplant them to desired location.
· Plant fall flowering bulbs
· Divide and replant winter and spring blooming bulbs after leaves have yellowed.
· Plant container roses
· Plant trees, shrubs and vines.
· Trim spring flowering vines
· Plant nursery bought vegetables
· Spread pesticide and lawn to prevent infestation of mosquitoes and ticks.
· Plant, fertilize and aerate lawn
· Spread pre-emergent on flowerbeds and lawn to prevent weeds
· Mulch flowerbeds
